What is a bridge?

When a tooth is missing but surrounded by teeth or crowns, a bridge is generally used.

This dental technique takes its name from the English word meaning “bridge”. It is indeed a question of making a bridge between several teeth (generally two), which makes it possible to replace the missing teeth by resting on the adjacent teeth (the abutment teeth).

Bridge is an alternative to the dental implant: an implant requires healing for 3 months while the bridge only covers the dental cavity and therefore does not require any operation on the gum.
